ISP is the new 2021 standard for concealed handgun certifications.
What that means for you is once you leave with a signed Concealed Carry Certification you will be further along than easily 94% of others who have received their certifications. What is considered the minimum requirements for you to legally carry a concealed weapon in many states does not even come close to preparing you with even the basics for real world self-defense with a handgun. ISP is raising that bar to ensure that you get the real training that you need to come home alive and or protect your loved ones.
How can we say this? Since 1998, ISP’s parent company NLB Tactical has been providing combatives and small arms training to our nation’s most elite warfighters via US Government contract. We take great pride in the work we do and our “crush bad guy” success rate. The bottom line is we care! It is 100% irresponsible to send people off with a false sense of confidence which ultimately makes them a danger to themselves and others. This is why ISP’s high standard exists, to get you started on the right foot.
Cost: $79.00 + $25.00 Range fee
How it works: You’ll get all your base education at our online school-house platform. You’ll learn how to safely handle and practice at home with your weapons system. You’ll learn the proper safety procedures, terminologies, nomenclature, master grip, weapon presentation, loading, malfunction clearing, concealed carry positions, proper gear for concealment, and most of all, the right mindset to have before ever stepping on the range or out in society.
This is a big deal! You’ll want to step out on the range on the right foot, looking and more importantly feeling like a skilled shooter. You’ll do all the beginning stuff at home on your own pace. When you are ready, you can sign up for one of our Live Fire Certifying Events at the range. Once you are certified by an ISP Instructor you will be able to apply for your Concealed Carry Permit with the State.

You’ll be able to attend more advanced follow on training with us, however this is a great first step.

Hello and welcome to ISP (Intuitive Self Protection) Online Academy. I am Hank Hayes the CEO and our ISP team is looking forward to being your guide through this journey of success with us.
A little bit about me so you know who is driving this ship. I grew up in New York City in the '60s in an all Italian neighborhood which today is still 100% Italian. I want you to use your imagination and picture what that was like for a black kid back then. Yes, it is just like movies make it out to be; aggressive, hardcore and violent to drop a few descriptive verbs.
By the time I was 10 years old, I must have been in 7 or 8 fights. These were mainly fights where no adults ever intervened. The fight was over when someone ran away, couldn’t move or some adult stopped it. Needless to say, it toughened me up for sure. Around this time, I started up with Martial Arts and was golden glove boxing at age 14. A few years later during an evening out doing something I probably shouldn't have been doing, I was introduced to a fellow who was involved in a very violent form of street fighting. Let me put it this way, if you got into a scrap you wanted these guys on your side. They were gentlemen for sure but 100% finishers. I found my home with them and we still train and connect on occasion today. The mindset to be a finisher is still the driving force of all we teach.
We are not advocates of starting trouble, agitating problems or messing about. However, when it is time to finish, it is time to finish.
Believe it or not, when I got started with firearms 25 years ago, I was deathly afraid of them. As a kid I witnessed the aftermath of my 5-year-old neighborhood friend accidentally getting killed with his Dad's shotgun, and it made me terrified of guns.
My start with firearms began when I was a bodyguard - close protection specialist and my time on that journey brings us to where we are now with our parent company ( NLB Tactical / No Lie Blades ) teaching U.S. Military, Law Enforcement and Special Teams on a variety of combat platforms having officially instructed over 22,000 operators. My wish for you and this course is for you to achieve a massive transformation in your gun craft skills development.
